Jennifer Rangel Stagen’s substantial background as a trial lawyer brings a broader, more strategic perspective to all facets of her appellate practice. Jennifer currently focuses her legal practice on two principal areas: working with trial teams in preparation for trial and possible appeal, and drafting related briefing at the trial and appellate levels. At the trial level, Jennifer authors dispositive motions and jury charges, presents arguments at hearings, and ensures post-verdict error preservation. At the appellate level, Jennifer drafts briefs and mandamus petitions that clearly present the facts of the case and convincingly demonstrate why the trial court’s order or judgment should be affirmed or reversed on appeal. Her appellate work has included cases in the Texas courts of appeals, the Texas Supreme Court, and the Fifth Circuit.

Jennifer’s practice spans a wide range of areas that include all facets of business litigation, labor and employment appeals, securities appeals, and family law matters. Jennifer has represented clients operating in numerous sectors, including oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, securities, and telecommunications.

Before joining Hankinson LLP, Jennifer was a partner at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, L.L.P.
