Texas Super Lawyers is published by Thomson Reuters’ Legal division. Each year, the publication rates attorneys based on peer surveys, an analysis of the attorney’s work, and a review by a blue-ribbon panel. Less than five percent of all Texas lawyers are named to the final list.
Based on the peer review process and information gathered through extensive research, Texas Super Lawyers also lists the “Top 10” attorneys in the state. Ms. Hankinson has been named among the state’s 10 best lawyers in both 2011 and 2012.
“It’s wonderful to think that your peers view you and your work in such a fashion,” says Ms. Hankinson.
In addition to her appellate practice, Ms. Hankinson maintains a busy schedule of mediation and arbitration work, as well as providing counsel to parties that wish to resolve disputes without going to the courthouse.
The Texas Super Lawyers recognition is the latest of many professional honors for Ms. Hankinson, a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas and the Texas 5th District Court of Appeals at Dallas. She is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, as well as a member of the American Arbitration Association’s national roster of neutrals.
Ms. Hankinson’s work and accomplishments are regularly recognized on “top lawyer” lists, including those published by The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, Texas Lawyer, D Magazine and others.
